This is a list for the fitting. Bring what stays on the night so the mark matches the walk.
- The dress on a hanger, not stuffed in a bag if you can help it.
- The shoes you will wear for the photograph and the walking. If a flatter pair comes out after dinner, bring that pair too.
- The underlayer that stays on. Shapewear changes hip and waist.
- Strapless tape if the neck or strap needs it. Tested in the fitting, not in a restroom on I-Drive.
- A wrap or jacket if it stays on for the walk from the car.
- A written note of the rooms: hotel carpet, ballroom, terrace, wet sidewalk, park path. A hotel front desk can usually tell you which of those the reception uses.
Hem length is drawn on Hem in Orlando. Strap slip and tape live under Straps. The night itself is Event. Gear that keeps those marks honest after an I-Drive storm lives on the fitting kit. Strap tape, hem tape, a second pair of hosiery, a phone light.
